Abstract
This book has fifty-six recipes written in standard style . The chapter titles are: Poultry Recipes ; Meat Recipes ; Seafood Recipes ; Vegetable Recipes ; Rice , Soups and Noodles ; Dessert Recipes ; The Dragon Boat Festival ; The Hungry Ghost Festival ; The Mooncake Festival ; The Winter Solstice Festival ; and Chinese New Year . Before the recipes , there is a two page author's preface about the Chinese and their food dated from Penang , 2005 . After the recipes are eight pages titled "Vital Ingredients. " Throughout the book are color illustrations by the author .
