Abstract
Most of this book's more than seventy recipes , all written in standards style , are not Chinese . They are of soups , meat and poultry , fish , rice , vegetables , and puddings and desserts . These are followed by others titled : Sauces ; Oil ; Spices ; and Drinks . The final chapter is called The Tao of Food and Happiness . The book ends with a single page , three column recipe index . Color drawings and photographs illustrate this volume's overview of the three-thousand-year-old philosophy of Taoism .
