Format.Creation | The digital surrogate image was created by members of the Stony Brook University Libraries' Resource Management Division using Adobe Photoshop CS2 software. The images were selected from the Charles H. Miller Collection housed within the Special Collections and University Archives of Stony Brook University Libraries. The etchings were scanned at 600 dpi, 24 bit color setting using a Canon Rebel TS3i camera. The images were then cropped to provide a border and saved as original size master TIFF images, and full-resolution JPEG images were created to provide a focused view of the individual etchings. In addition, the JPEG images have been cropped to save file size and make them more consistent with one another. The former Western States Imaging Best Practices Guidelines were referenced during the planning phase of the project. |
