Abstract
This herb and health book is written in five sections titled : Discovering Yourself ; How Herbs Can Help ; Herbs and Their Properties ; Useful Herbal Formulas ; and Your Good Health . Seventy-four herbs are detailed in three columns per page , accompanied by line drawings and photographs of flowers and dried parts used for health purposes . Includes properties of each , Pinyin and botanical names , channels affected , actions , and dosage for each . Twenty-eight Western herbs have some , but not all , of the same information . There are twenty-three herbal formulae with pictures of their contents and amounts for each . Some food recipes are provided , as well as six wines , and a few creams and ointments .
