Abstract
This book contains one hundred recipes written in single narrative paragraphs . The recipe chapter titles are: Daily Dishes ; Cold Wine Dishes ; Hot Wine Dishes ; Main Dishes ; Soups ; Rice Dishes ; and Desserts . Before the recipes , the authors discuss regional food ; additional topics addressed are equipment , cooking tips , and suggestions for a dinner party . After the recipes , there are eight mail-order sources noted for procuring ingredients . There are a few pages of black and white line drawings by Wen Mei Yu . The recipes are from restaurateur's Yu Lin Chuan and have been translated by his daughter Yu Wen Wei .
